Peace will not vanish!
Join us on 30 November 2025, 14h00-15h30, for an immersive conversation about peace at the Full Circle Ideas Festival in Brussels!
It can feel, today, as if the space to speak about peace is vanishing. Even among progressives, the conversation has shifted — from imagining a non-violent world to managing the threats of a revived era of militarisation and nationalism. What would it mean to resist that narrowing of imagination? To reopen a space where we can speak — and listen — about peace with honesty, curiosity, and courage?

EU leaders are looking for 800 billion Euros to rearm Europe. We talk a lot about war. But how much do we talk about peace? Does it mean resisting war — or something deeper? How much do we invest in it, believe in it, practice it? Has peace “gone out of fashion” among movements? How safe do we feel to talk about peace at all?
In this participatory and dynamic conversation, we invite you to reflect on where peace lives in your imagination and experience — to listen to others, to draw from past struggles, and perhaps to change our own minds about what resistance might mean in a world that seems to have forgotten how to make peace.

This session is part of the Full Circle Ideas Festival, a three-day gathering in Brussels (28–30 Nov 2025) that brings together thinkers, doers, and creative souls around the theme “Resist” — challenging attendees to wrestle with the big issues of our time, from inequality and climate to digital life and democracy.
Through salon talks, guided conversations, workshops, live music, creative writing sessions, art exhibits, and even gong-bath wellness breaks, the festival fosters community, inspiration, and reflection.
